Carbon dioxide, besides being an essential element to life on our planet, it is also an effective extinguishing agent. Due to its efficiency in extinguishing fire, it became the most commonly element used in fire fighting systems.

Cylinders used in carbon dioxide storage can come in different colors. If used in fire fighting projects the color shall be specific, i.e. in Brazil is red, if used in industry for welding or fire extin guishing. For food, medical purposes or other applications, the color is aluminum.
